An idylic 16th century thatched cottage located on the edge of the stunning expanse of the Dartmoor National Park.
Wonderful scenic walks can be enjoyed on the moor,climbs up to the spectacular granite tors sculpted by the weather for thousands of years, Or strolls down by the leafy footpaths along the River Tavy. The anciant stannary town of Tavistock has excellant shops centered round a bustling pannier market. The cottage has three bedrooms with lovely views up over dartmoor,across the village, and down to the church. The sitting room is very spacious and comfortable: A massive cast-iron range and oil fired stove set within an old granite fireplace keeps you very warm. The cottage is well equipped and decorated with beautiful furniture and paintings thus making it a welcome retreat. The pretty two tiered garden is large and an ideal retreat for a picnic or other outdoor activities.

THIS 16TH CENTURY COTTAGE HAS OODLES OF CHARACTER.
Although the cottage is 16th century and has kept many original features, It also has a modern approach to convenience such as oil central heating & fire(No need for coal & logs), there is a dish washer for convenience, a washing machine/ tumble dryer

This is the hall way leading out to the lower garden through the french doors.The lower garden is level and spacious. In the hall way on the left you will see the games cupboard this has a fair selection of games for different age groups. On the right large solid wood table and stools (sits four).
